My Last Holiday
During the last holiday we (my husband, my cousins & I) went to Cambewarra Look-out in Nowra. Though it was our destination; we visited other interested places too. As we planned not to stay there & it was very far, we started our journey very early in the morning, about 7 o’clock. We went along the Pacific highway through Stanwell Park.
We first stopped at the Pacific drive & walked on the Sea Cliff Bridge, the weather was good & the scenery was so wonderful, there is ocean on one side & the green rain forest & creek on the other side. We found some locks on the grill of the bridge, painted with different names.
Then again we started our journey & after crossing Wollongong we took a break in Berkeley at the Nan Tien Temple. It is the religious place for Buddhist. The Great Hero Hall (main shrine) enshrines five majestic Buddha statues and so many smaller Buddha images around the walls; there are also many small statues of Buddha in the garden with different Style. The Place calms the mind..
From the Temple we went to Kiama to see the Blowhole point, but it was our bad luck that the weather was damp & we missed the blow of water. There the fish & chips are famous & they were really fresh.
When we again started our journey, it was already 5 pm, so we were worried that we would miss the view & actually that happened. When we reach Cambewarra, it was dark, but we saw the whole city with lighting.
The most interested part was our way to return home, we took the non conventional road, so we had to pass through the jig jag way of the hill & it was also dangerous as it was complete dark, the moon was hidden by the clouds & we were scared. At least we reached home safely at 10 o’clock.
